Scaling plan
A firm’s rules for increasing the size of a funded account after consistent profitable performance.
A scaling plan typically asks for a certain profit over a period, sometimes with a minimum number of payouts, and then increases the account size and the drawdown with it. Some plans also improve the profit split.
The rules, steps and timing vary a lot between firms and change over time. Treat scaling as a bonus rather than part of the plan: it only matters once the account is profitable, and the conditions apply on top of every normal rule.
