Consistency rule
A rule that limits how much of your total profit may come from a single day or trade.
A common form says your best day may be at most a set percentage of total profit; another caps any day at a percentage of the profit target. If you break it, you usually have to keep trading until the ratio is back within the limit, and at some firms it affects payouts.
The profit you need to comply is best day ÷ limit. With a $2,000 best day and a 40% limit, total profit must reach $5,000. Some firms also use the word for limits on how much your position size may vary.
